Adult material, Cartoon Porn and the Law

Recent court case shows that even 'Simpsons Porn' can be illegal

Recent events in Australia demonstrate that 'illegal porn' is not exclusively the purview of material involving human beings. What might be considered 'cartoon porn' has recently come under scrutiny by a supreme court in New South Wales, Australia that oversaw a case involving risque cartoon images of the characters from 'The Simpsons', a gobally popular television show.

The case involved a man who was found to have pornographic cartoon images of Bart, Lisa, Maggie and others performing 'acts of love' with one another. The judge in the case ruled after some deliberation that the images could be classed as child pornography because although the participants were fictional characters they could still be considered people. The man appealed and the Supreme court upheld the decision.

This instance raises the point that any person who happens to have an interest in cartoon characters performing sexual acts is now potentially in possession of kiddie porn if they have images with child characters present, even if they are entirely fictional. As well as Simpsons porn this also includes material involving other cartoon programs that feature preteen characters, such as Pokemon porn, Family Guy porn or any such similar shows. Keep this in mind.
